2 Cups Self-Raising Flour
½ Cup Shredded Coconut
1 Cup + 2 tbsp water
2 C brown sugar
1C coconut cream
-Bring a large pot of water to a soft boil
-In a large bowl combine self raising flour & shredded coconut. Stir to combine
-Gradually add in water and continue to mix to form a rough and wet dough. You want the consistency to be that of a thick paste. If it becomes too wet, add more flour & coconut. You may require more or less water
-Dip a clean spoon into the boiling water then scoop up a spoonful of mixture at a time and place them into the water one by one until all mixture is in the pot
-Boil gently for about 15-20 minutes until the doughboys are cooked through
-During this time heat a frying pan to medium and add brown sugar and coconut cream
-Stirring often, caramelise the sugar until it is a deep brown colour and thickened. This could take 8-10 mins
-Remove dough boys from the water and place into tray before tipping over the caramel sauce and letting this combine for 15 mins before serving #Tonganfood #tonga #Recipe #havea686
