Summer plant care tips 🪴.
Here’s what I follow in my garden 👇
🌿 1. Mulching is a game changer
Adding a layer of cocopeat or dry leaves on top of the soil helps in retaining moisture, reducing soil temperature, and protecting plant roots from extreme heat. This simple step can make a huge difference!
💧 2. Watering twice a day
During summer, plants lose water quickly. Water them early in the morning and again in the evening to keep the soil consistently moist. Avoid watering during afternoon as it can harm the roots.
🌬️ 3. Spraying water on leaves
A gentle mist on leaves helps reduce heat stress and keeps plants fresh. It also increases humidity around the plant, which is especially helpful for delicate plants.
🌼 4. Feed with liquid fertilizers
Plants need extra nutrients during stressful conditions. Use liquid fertilizers like compost tea, banana peel fertilizer, or any organic liquid feed to give them instant nourishment and support healthy growth.
🐛 5. Regular pest check is important
Summer is also the season when pests attack more. Check your plants daily and spray neem oil regularly to protect them naturally without harmful chemicals.
💚 With just a little extra care and attention, your plants can survive and even thrive in the harsh summer heat!.
