Why I Stopped Chasing Optimization
Every day we're told we need a new diet, a new supplement, a new morning routine, a new productivity system, or a new optimization hack. And somehow, despite having more information than ever before, many people feel more confused, stressed, and overwhelmed than ever.
In this video, I share some observations I've had over the last few years about fitness, dating, faith, social media, and the growing obsession with optimizing every detail of our lives while often neglecting the fundamentals that actually move the needle.
We talk about:
• Why people obsess over the micro and ignore the macro
• The problem with modern self-improvement culture
• How social media profits from keeping us confused
• Why consistency beats optimization almost every time
• The 80/20 principle in fitness, relationships, money, and faith
• The questions I use to filter advice and eliminate noise
I'm not claiming to have all the answers.
These are simply thoughts from someone trying to simplify life, focus on what matters, and document the process along the way.
If you've ever felt overwhelmed by conflicting advice online, this video is for you.
Archive of Chris is a place where I document life, ideas, races, lessons, faith, fitness, mistakes, and everything I'm learning along the way.
