A stray dog nicknamed Kuro-chan has been rescued. He lived in downtown Shunan City for three months over the summer, was captured by city officials in the fall, and was temporarily held at the public health center, but he is now living at the "Ma-kun House" shelter in Hofu City.
Rumors are circulating in town that he has been adopted, but Ma-kun House rescued Kuro-chan just before he was scheduled to be euthanized. Apparently, he’s even made his debut at the dog park.
We’re urgently looking for a forever home for Kuro-chan❣️
Local moms are working hard to raise funds for the “Kuro-chan Fund” to support Maakun House, an animal shelter that rescues all dogs held at the Shunan Public Health Center.
We hope the Hometown Tax Donation system will be applied
Rescue groups fighting to achieve zero euthanasia after the capture of stray dogs in Shunan City are asking the city and prefecture to apply the Shunan City Hometown Tax Donation system. Shunan City is known for having so many stray dogs that it’s even been featured on national TV, despite being a town with little tourism❗️ We’d be thrilled if we could promote Shunan City nationwide as a compassionate community that aims not just to capture stray dogs, but to achieve zero euthanasia🤗

野良犬の通称クロちゃん保護されました。夏の３ヶ月間周南市の中心街に住み着き、秋に市役所に捕獲され、一旦は保健所に収容されましたが今は防府市の保護施設【まあくんハウス】で暮らしています。
街中では里親さんに譲渡されたとデマが飛び交っていますがクロちゃんは殺処分される前にまあくんハウスさんが保護してくれました。ドッグランにもデビューしたそうです。
