Providing support for my jasmine plants 🪴.
Sunlight:
Jasmine loves the sun. Give it 4–6 hours of direct sunlight daily.
Watering:
Water when the top 1 inch of soil feels dry.
Avoid overwatering—jasmine doesn’t like soggy soil.
Use pots with good drainage holes.
Soil:
Needs well-draining, airy soil.
Ideal potting mix:
1 part garden soil + 1 part compost or cow dung + 1 part river sand or cocopeat.
Fertilizer:
Feed every 15–20 days during the growing season (spring to monsoon).
Use organic compost or a phosphorus-rich fertilizer for better flowering.
Pruning:
Prune lightly after flowering to remove dry or leggy stems.
Helps the plant grow bushy and bloom more. But during flowering season do hard pruning.
Pests:
Common pests: Aphids, mealybugs, and whiteflies.
Spray neem oil once a week if you notice pests.
Support (for climbing types):
If growing a climbing jasmine, provide a stick, net, or trellis to support its growth.
